These Nepalese Sterling silver Gaus are prayer containers that open delicately from the back. You would add a prayer, wish or intention in a paper and place it in the Gau and close it permanently. A heavy oxidized sterling silver box chain in 18 or 20 inches is part of the necklace. Limited as each one is hand made.
One side has two dorje's which is the symbol for the thunderbolt of enlightenment. The front show Om Mani Padme Hum from Sanskrit written in Tibetan. It is a protection chant for the bearer.
