Conch Shell Wrapped in White Brass Earrings
- Length: 1 inch
- Stones: Amethyst Swarovski, white Conch Shell
Pretty world traveler earrings in Conch Shell delicately wrapped in white brass details from India. A small faceted Amethyst Swarovski crystal has been added atop with sterling silver wire, findings and earhooks.
Please note that the striations on the conch shell are each unique and have not been sanded for a more earthy handcrafted beach feel. Petite and yet so meaningful these shell earrings will please the wanderlusting bohemain.
These little conch shell earrings are wrapped in antique white brass with tiny scalped edging. Each piece is hand made and I have matched them as closely as possible.
Please note due to the unique natural shell color and hand made work there will be some slight variation in color and design. They are wired with sterling silver wire and are on sterling hook earrings with an Amethyst Swarovski Crystal to add a pop of color and sparkle.
Significance of the Conch Shell in Hindu culture. The sound of the Shankha (the shell) symbolizes the sacred Om sound. Vishnu holding the conch represents him as the god of sound. It is associated to Lakshmi the goddess of wealth, love, and prosperity, and symbolizes female fertility. Lastly, the grounded conch is used throughout Ayurvedic medicine to treat many aliments.
